What is your story?
After graduating from a commercial university of applied sciences, I completed my bachelor's degree in online media at HFU Furtwangen. I then worked as a Junior Online Marketing Manager at an agency in Stuttgart for 1.5 years. In December 2018, I moved to MOSAIQ as Senior Online Marketing Manager and from there seamlessly on to Funntastic. I now work here as a Senior Digital Marketing Manager with a focus on consulting and strategy.
How did you come to Funntastic?
I have to go back further, when I had a very nice conversation with Sebastian and then switched to MOSAIQ. I then moved over to Funntastic with the whole online marketing team when the agency was founded in 2022.
At Funntastic and MOSAIQ, I am the first port of call when it comes to SEO. As a result, I have been involved in many projects for a very long time and am familiar with many systems. I was also actively involved in building the online marketing team into what it is today.
I start between 8 a.m. and around 8.30 a.m. and then I need a big cup of coffee! Then I check my emails, get an overview and prioritize what needs to be done during the day. Meetings then start at 10 a.m. and are scattered throughout the day. In between, I work through the to-dos. If possible, I take a lunch break every day and then actively step away from my laptop. That's very important to me when I'm working from home, just to have a balance during the day. I finish work sometime between 5 and 6 pm. I don't really have a specific daily routine - sometimes there are more meetings and sometimes I can work through everything quickly without any interruptions.
I really tried - she didn't get it!
If you could swap a day with a colleague - with whom and why?
With Natascha as project manager, because we only have a view from online marketing and the project managers have a great overview of projects and customers.
Team office or team home office?
I am definitely team home office! Because here in Freiburg I can be close to my family and friends and still work at Funntastic. But I can't work without an office either, which is why I regularly take the train to Stuttgart.
What are your biggest challenges in everyday life?
Taking care of the to-dos between the many client meetings and staying focused at the same time. And sometimes it's not always easy to switch between creative work and analytical thinking.
What did you think after your first week at Funntastic?
What a chaotic bunch it is - in a positive sense, of course! We are a lot of different people who all work together on projects.
What crazy or unusual ability do you have that most people don't know about?
I'm a very good photographer and I also love analog photography. Sometimes I spend hours in my darkroom/laboratory and develop my pictures myself.
What's the funniest thing you've ever experienced in or with the agency?
The last cabin weekend comes to mind, when we played the Whisper Challenge on the first evening. I laughed so much, especially because our bosses were so absolutely clueless about the game.Just chat with colleagues every now and then and keep up to date. These conversations really help me to focus on my work again afterwards, especially if you work almost exclusively from home like I do. Lo-fi beats also help me to concentrate on my work.
For employees, it's clear: a great team spirit! That's really more than just an empty phrase - everyone in our team helps each other, whether it's professionally or in private. I've already mentioned that we're a very mixed team, but that's great because everyone can be who they are - we just work together. In addition, we can communicate not only with each other but also with our bosses as equals. I also appreciate the freedom to develop myself and to be able to speak openly if something doesn't suit me.
For our customers, the plus point is clearly the good professional skills. We have incredibly good project managers who act quickly in the background and take care of everything individually for each customer.
If our office were on a desert island, who would be the leader?
Andy from MOSAIQ comes to mind, because he has thought through every consequence in advance and knows what to expect. What's next for you? What adventures, missions and plans do you have for the future?
My priority here is clearly the team. I want to help us stick together, grow and develop!
