Funntastic Insights: Interview with Eleni

Senior Marketing Automation Manager

What is your story?

I did my A-levels at a business high school and then tried my hand at media informatics. However, I quickly realized that I was more interested in economics and then changed courses. During my studies, I realized that I enjoyed marketing and ended up at siteboosters via various internships and LinkedIn. When siteboosters then became Funntastic, I was there right from the start as Online Marketing Manager.

What makes you special, what are you particularly good at and what only you contribute to the agency?

I am very patient, which benefits me greatly in my Marketing Automation (MAT) department. I'm also responsible for the entire MAT area of the agency and I've helped to expand it.

A coffee straight away in the morning always helps and if I feel like my brain is having a party, I go for a quick run around the apartment. After work, I also like to do things where I don't have to use my head at all, such as going to the gym.

I'm an absolute late riser and I'm not really present before 9 am. On average, I have 2-3 customer meetings a day, provide support for customer projects or advance strategic topics in the MAT area. I'm also responsible for HubSpot internally at MOSAIQ and Funntastic and take care of all the preparation and follow-up work for all webinars.

I would keep it very simple and maybe try this: I explain to people from companies how computer programs work and show them how they can best use these programs.

If you could swap a day with a colleague - with whom and why?

No PM at any rate! I think all the customers would run away. I would find someone from the DEV sector very interesting. My studies have already given me a rough insight into it and I find the subject of programming very exciting. But I would also swap places with someone from the UX team because I think the topic of creativity is great and it's a different kind of creativity than in my field.

Team office or team home office?

I'm more of a home office team, but it's the mix that counts. As I have a relatively large number of customer appointments, I'm unfortunately not able to talk to my colleagues as much in the office. On days with fewer appointments, however, I also enjoy going into the office.

What are your biggest challenges in everyday life?

Finding the source of software problems. I always have to ask myself whether I can solve it, whether the team needs to get involved or someone else entirely. Sometimes I also find it difficult to keep an eye on the big picture when you have lots of little to-dos.

Which fictional character do you think would do best in our team?

As my day-to-day work is very busy and full of deadlines, SpongeBob would certainly fit in well at the agency. He would bring a lightness that would slow things down and take the pressure off.

What crazy or unusual ability do you have that most people don't know about?

I can sing along to almost every song lyric from my teenage years, but I tend to forget what I ate yesterday.

What's the funniest thing you've ever experienced in or with the agency?
It was definitely last year at the cabin weekend when the kitchen team accidentally put the homemade Mexican in the chili. The chefs were super uncomfortable - the rest just thought it was funny!

I make a plan every day and structure the day so that everything fits together thematically. I also make sure that it's a mixture of simple to-dos and more complex tasks, which works wonderfully in my area.

I most appreciate the trust and freedom we enjoy, both from our bosses and from our colleagues. You can always approach each other and work together - the team simply sticks together well!

For our customers, it is certainly interesting that we offer a broad spectrum and that each of us is very well versed in our field and brings a lot of knowledge to the table. That makes us strong together!

If our office were on a desert island, who would be the leader?

I think Glenn, because he would set out a plan without panicking. At the same time, he would also be fair and wouldn't leave anyone behind.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it in the office?

Theoretically, mind reading would be very practical, but on the other hand perhaps not so pleasant.
