What is your story?
After graduating from high school, I worked for a year because I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go in. The options were biology lab assistant or something to do with marketing. I ended up doing the latter, but I really wanted to gain practical experience, so I only considered an apprenticeship or a dual study program. I first started an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk at Euronics Germany and then went on to complete a dual study program in business administration and retail at Euronics.
I then worked at Euronics in marketing as a brand manager before moving to MOSAIQ as a junior project manager in fall 2019. When Funntastic was founded in 2022, I joined the sister agency as Senior Project Manager and am now responsible for the project management team as Team Lead.
What makes you special, what are you particularly good at and what only you contribute to the agency?
As a rule, all topics from the agency come together in my office and I am the central point of contact for all large and small projects, as well as for any internal topics, and I am also happy to step in if necessary. It certainly helps that I'm actually very well organized. If something slips through my fingers, then a lot must have gone wrong.
In any case, my vital Excel spreadsheet! All my colleagues know that nothing works for me without it, it's like my second brain.
The first thing I do in the morning is check my vital Excel spreadsheet. It lists all my to-dos by day and I always keep it up to date. Otherwise, I coordinate the various projects and tasks with the respective experts and attend numerous customer appointments in between. At some point, I always look at the clock and realize that it's actually already time to go home.
"Grandma, there are sites on the internet that look nice and they belong to companies and you can buy things from some of them. And we're there to make sure the sites work and look nice and that you can find them."
If you could swap a day with a colleague - with whom and why?
In any case, Andy, to get a deep insight into DEV topics. I would find it very exciting to find out what everyday life is like for him and our developers and, above all, what kind of questions he is bombarded with by us project managers on a daily basis.
Team office or team home office?
I'm more of a home office team because I can simply work there with more concentration and in peace. At the same time, however, I'm also a team office person because regular face-to-face interaction with colleagues is super important to me, especially on Fridays after work.
What are your biggest challenges in everyday life?
Since my working day "only" has 8 hours, it is sometimes a challenge to fit in all the todos.
Which fictional character do you think would do best in our team?
Papa Smurf, because he's actually the same as our bosses. He's always there, gives rational advice, always has an open ear, cares and is also an important reference person.
What is your secret recipe for staying productive at work and being in a good mood at the same time?
The prospect of finishing work on Friday with my colleagues in the office. I always look forward to it and it helps in stressful phases. It also really motivates me that my customers appreciate my work.
What's the funniest thing you've ever experienced in or with the agency?
There are many funny moments. We once had a job interview late on a Friday afternoon. The other colleagues in the office had already opened the after-work beer or wine and so that I didn't have to do without it, they simply put a cup of wine on my desk during the interview - the applicant works for us today, by the way.Great team, great people, great customers, great bosses. We are all just a great team and work hand in hand.
Wow, I have a lot of responsibility here and can work in a very self-organized way.
If our office were on a desert island, who would be the leader?
We would have a fair democracy and would agree on a leader together - Andy certainly has the best chance because he has a very fair character and cannot be influenced. If you could have a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it in the office?
Cloning! It would be really great if you could clone some colleagues in stressful phases with deadlines.
